Eco-friendly Water Based Coating Technology
Our Patented Water Printing Technology was first developed in response to the industry’s lack of an effective way to coat materials with odd, three dimensional shapes. More importantly, it was to find a means to eliminate the need to use harmful binding agents which potentially could pose health and environmental hazards with prolong usage.
This new Water Printing Technology was successfully developed by Liaoning Rentian Science & Technology‘s founder Mrs Sun Xiu Fang after 14 years of R&D efforts.
This new Water Printing could be imparted with many useful and protective properties as well as aesthetically attractive features.
It also has the ability to print patterns and designs on the surfaces of various types and shapes of building fixtures, furnishing and decoration products made from aluminum, plastic, wood and stone without the need for any chemical binding agents.
In a short span of time, this new technology gained the recognition of the PRC government and caught the attention of the Chinese media. In August 2005, the PRC Ministry of Construction, PRC Development and Reform Committee and PRC Decoration Association jointly organised a press conference in Beijing to introduce the eco-friendly water based coating technology to the public.
The following year, the company won the gold medal in the China International Patent Technology and Products Fair. Since then, it has also won many other accolades.
The company has obtained patents in China and is also in the process of obtaining patents in other major markets like the United States and major European Countries.
Key Feature
The key feature of our Water Printing Technology is the utilization of a type of coating film to coat and print patterns and designs on the surfaces of various types and shapes of products without any harmful chemical binding agents.
Coating and Printing Process
The pattern and/or design is first printed on thin film, and thereafter, the pattern and/or design is transferred onto the product through a water degradation process which enables the pattern and/or design to be coated/printed onto the surface of the product without any harmful chemical binding agents.
Usage and Advantage of Water Based Coating Technology
Besides the coating and printing of patterns and designs on the surfaces of flat objects, Water Printing Technology is also able to coat and print patterns and designs on the surfaces of products with odd, three-dimensional and/or curved shapes.
The technology is able to add value to various products by changing the original appearance of such products into appearances of higher value products.
For example, it can change the appearance of the surface of metal products into that of wood (with natural wood grains, etc), change the appearance of ordinary stone materials into jade, change high density wood fibre composite doors into “oak” doors, etc.
As our Water Printing Technology is able to transform the appearance of cheaper materials into that of higher value materials, it enables cost savings by allowing the replacement of the costly real materials with cheaper alternatives.
In addition, our technology is eco-friendly as it enables the replacement of natural materials such as real wood with other organic alternatives such as wood plastic composite materials.
